Programs and Services
Humane Education
Humane Education programs are presented to schools, camps, scouts, and child care centers. They teach compassion, empathy and responsibility of pet ownership to hundreds of Wiregrass children every year, preparing them to be better citizens. We have an excellent program consisting of a puppet show, flannel board and flip chart stories. Volunteers take the program to children throughout the area at the request of teachers, directors, or club leaders.
Education programs for adult civic organizations and clubs are also available. The Wiregrass Humane Society will provide your meeting a speaker who will explain the intricacies of our organization along with a description of its services, goals and objectives for the community and the challenges we face in controlling pet overpopulation in the Wiregrass.
