Volunteer Spotlight – Bobbi

Bobbi is a certified dog groomer who volunteers her time to groom dogs for us at the shelter when needed. Bobbi is originally from Dothan but had been living in Colorado with where her husband was stationed with the army. She recently moved back to Dothan and opened her own dog grooming salon, Bobbi’s Barks and Bubbles. Bobbi’s love and compassion for animals is what lead her to becoming a groomer and why she helps out at the humane society. Bobbi is pictured with Hadley, whom she recently groomed for us.

Volunteer Spotlight – Houston County CTC

Students from the Houston County Career Technical Center (included students from Ashford, Houston Co. Cottonwood, and Rehobeth high schools) came out for a day at the shelter. They spent time with the animals, helped clean the kennels, helped clean and landscape the yard. Their help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much to students from Houston County Career and Technical Center who came out to the shelter today and did a lot if work for us as their community service project. Thank you also to Buds n Blossoms Nursery for donating some shrubs and shade trees that the students planted out in the yard!!
